A Jig From Your Irish Lass!

st pattys profile

You know how I love to dance. Join Danny and I in a little Irish Jig!

Here are a few of my own Irish blessings

May you straighten out life’s learning curve, leaving in a few twists for luck.

May your name always be followed with a smile and not a curse.

May you laugh at yourself with others or if not at yourself than at others and hope they can laugh at themselves with you.

May your door always be open to your friends and closed to your enemies with a window nearby just in case.

May someone always catch you when you fall, pick you up when you are down and kick you in the behind if you wallow in the mud.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

How are you celebrating this year?

  1. Ha ha! Top ‘o the evenin’ to you! Funny thing is, that’s how the Irish dancers really look, with their heads all steady-like.

Here’s an Irish joke for you: Men are like bagpipes: no sound comes from them until they’re full.

Wait, that’s not very nice. How about this one? -Five frogs are sitting on a log. Four decide to jump off. How many are left? Answer: five. Why? Because there’s a difference between deciding & doing.

OK, I give up with the lame jokes, and will leave a blessing instead:

May you live to be a hundred years,
With one extra year to repent!

    Happy St. Patrick’s day!

    1. Those are great jokes! I hope your day was fun too! We went to Ireland for 10 days back in 2001. That’s where Danny and I learned all of our dance moves… Hahaha!
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to you!

    1. Thanks for freaking and for the sweet compliment!
I saw another blog in its place when I first checked my stats. I am so G rated (for the most part), I couldn’t imagine that I had been pulled. Just another spammer trying to hack into WordPress. It was never completely down and they had it fixed in less than an hour. Yeah!
      …raises mug of Guiness… **clink**

  3. Slainte! I had a great time at a St. Paddy’s day parade party with my family. My mom is 100% Irish, although she married a mongrel (no offense, Dad). Hope your day was fab. (ps thanks for the jig – it was da bomb!)

    1. That is so great Peg! It sounds like you had a great St. Patty’s Day.
My family was scattered about, but Danny and I had a wonderful feast! We went to an Irish pub in Breck the night before.
We really practiced that jig, so I appreciate that! 🙂

  4. Ha! I loved that video. You are an awesome dancer and who knew Danny had those great moves. Celebrated with chocolate cupcakes and green frosting with the kids. Every holiday should be celebrated with chocolate. 🙂
