Use Me and Abuse Me Day – Dancing into the New Year

Hey everybody! It’s another Use Me and Abuse Me Day.

NYE2014

Is this your first UMAMD? You are welcome to leave ONE LINK or URL from one of your blog posts, photos, video, anything really, in my comment section. (Paste two and you’ll end up in my spam filter. It’s always so embarrassing for me and my guest.)

That’s when the party starts. Say hello to others who stop by. Check out the new faces in my comment section. Click on a few links and tell them, “Susie sent me!” They should click back to your place. Now you know the drill! These parties always last for days and easily a full week, so you can keep stopping back.

NYE2014 1

DJ KSmash is in the house and spinning. Help yourself to the bar. If you prefer, the barista will make any coffee drink you can imagine. I’ve flown in delicacies from the finest restaurants in New York City.

I hope you have fun meeting my friends!

Now click on the video and dance with me!

    1. Your post filled with great blogging ideas. I don’t always follow bloggers who post every day, but can see that it really brings in the views and followers.

  1. Gosh, dancing this early in the day really gets the heart pumping! And I have to shovel my driveway in just a little bit, so I’ll really be getting my exercise in.

Anyway, I thought I’d link to my post I wrote about my son’s tonsillectomy. You had asked about it, Susie, so I figure this would be a good one to bring to the party. http://4amwriter.com/2013/05/13/a-mothers-lesson-to-a-writer/

It’s a little dramatic, full of motherly worries and thoughts, but inspirational too, I hope! It ends on a good note, so fear not. 🙂

Thanks for throwing the party. Looking forward to reading posts from your other guests!

        1. Thanks so much! Hahaha! It was early. We watched the first fireworks at 9:00 and we went home at 10:30. Kelly said everyone danced during the last hour with the approach to midnight!
          Where’s your link???

  2. You have some banging dance moves Susie! Rock on into the new year!

As always you are so great with the blog parties. Your readers are terrific!

Here’s a post I put up recently on a disaster date I observed. I was sitting in a coffee shop trying to come up with a blog feature idea and this mess of a guy on a date gave me all I needed! True story!

      1. OMG – Regular Guy, your post was way too funny. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the dating market, but I met a guy very similar to this. He asked me to meet him at a hotel bar (stupid me, I did) and – naturally – he just happened to have a room upstairs and did I want to “take this party upstairs?” Wow – did I feel like a lucky girl (NOT).

Perhaps this guy had anti-Ken-complex. You can read about it here if you’re so inclined: http://jansenschmidt.wordpress.com/2013/12/16/its-all-about-the-pink-or-it-sucks-to-be-ken/

Trying way to hard to compensate for something else lacking if you ask me.

        Fun post!

    1. It amazes me that anyone would have balls like this. Maybe he was on something. I wish the woman would have stood and dumped her coffee on him!

  3. Susie .. that’s is my kind of girl!!! This is such great post .. so full of energy and love for life, just as your heart and soul is. I spent my New Years Eve … with somebody I really like the company off – myself and yesterday I treated myself my yearly indulgence.
New Year is my two days … that I give to myself. Happy New Year to us, both!

  4. The end of 2013 found me trying out a new character for my, hopefully, novella. Carolyn is tough with a lot of human stuck in. She’s trying to live and survive in a post-apocalyptic world. It started out as a 100 word short story for Friday Fictioneers, but has spiraled into over 6000 words now and I am finding people more and more intrigued with her life and adventures. Here is the page on my blog for it all. The short spots follow prompts from various places. The parts at the bottom (4 right now) are the sections of the short story…please visit, comment, suggest, but, most of all, Enjoy!!!

  6. Susie, I already invited your guests to my site–thanks for another great party!

But now I want to seriously thank you for your humor and inspiration in dealing with breast cancer. It greatly helped a dear friend of mine keep up her spirits after she was diagnosed with cervix cancer. She is nearly recovered, and you are a great part of the reason.

Susie, may you have an abundant, happy, but most-most-most of all HEALTHY new year!
