Welcome wild riders! I’ve been up in the mountains taking loads of photographs. The contrast is amazing this time of year and I look forward to sharing a virtual hike or two with you before the end of the month.
With the peak of the fall color upon us, I thought I’d give you an aspen HEADS UP. Another Use Me and Abuse Me Blog Party starts at 6:00 AM Mountain Time on Wednesday, September 24th! This is a great opportunity for new bloggers to start building their own community and veteran bloggers to make some new friends. Come with a link and party down on Wednesday! It’s sure to become another rager.
Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!
Are the leaves changing in your neck of the woods?
Susie – I cannot describe the enormous amount of joy you bring to me whenever I see your name. I’m a little nervous at parties so haven’t been very sociable but please know I love and admire you and it feels like we are friends. I’ve been preoccupied of late but just want you to know that your positive, beautiful personality always makes me feel refreshed and invigorated. Thank you for being such a fantastic example of joy! Well.. the leaves here are still green in Malaysia. We don’t have four seasons here. Only sunny and rainy days. Aaa… soo boring. -.-

It’s never boring in Colorado, but I bet the vegetation is very lush.
Thanks for stopping by the Wild Ride! I hope to see you on Wednesday!

I’ll be sure and pass the word along–Susie throws the best parties!
And where I’m from, Corpus Christi TX, leaves don’t change color, so much as wither from heat and rapidly die. Palm-trees are evergreen, though!

I had NO idea there were palm trees in Texas. Thought that was just a California thing (and maybe Florida). I guess if some bars in CA play country music, some trees in TX can be palms.
One thing we both have in common is attending Susie’s wild parties!

That’s for sure!
Cali sounds nice–I hope to visit someday!

Checked out your site and discovered something else we have in common: most recent movies SUCK. That’s why I’ve been watching classics on YouTube — you know how one leads to the next — and checking off the list at imdb’s 250 top of all time. Want to see something wonderful (YouTube, free): Frank Morgan in A Stranger in Town.
We’re both artists, too. My genre is graphic design; I can’t even draw a stick figure. But I love type. Check out my play with ampersands: amperart.com
When you visit Cali please bring me some authentic Texas BBQ! Their way of doing it without all that extra sauce is the best.

Yes the leaves are changing. After our one week of winter, we are now enjoying temperatures in the low to mid 20s Celsius, high 60s to mid 70s Fahrenheit and the leaves are changing!

Nope, still summer here in SoCal. Nothing like the beautiful photo you took, Susie. Speaking of color, and being a graphic designer, I love the outfit you’re modeling next to your skis. The skis even pick up some of the hues of your fashion apparel.

That’s gaper attire! Totally 80’s, but somewhat color coordinated! Thanks!

Even though my eyes have photo phobia, Susie, today marks the beginning of Autumn/Fall – I had a Doctors’ appt. and yes, even “I” saw the beautiful changes. My fav season of the year. I am looking forward to Wednesday♥

Great! I love this season too.
Did you have your pupils dilated? That always throws me for hours.
I’m glad you are coming! Spread the word! The more the merrier.

No, photo phobia is, in my case, an extreme sensitivity to light/brightness. I basically have to live in the dark but all is “ok” until they are healed? Maybe one day♥

Those tall trees look like they are peering you with great curiosity…oh, they probably think you are a forest sprite. Hope they have their roots down good as a wild and wacky Wednesday on the way

Wow, Susie, that’s a great shot! I haven’t noticed any evident signs of fall yet other than the subway station is no longer hot as an oven.

Thanks! I never know what’s going to turn out.
The nights are always cool here, but the days are shorter and now they’re even cooler. Soon, it will snow! Woohoo! Don’t worry. You can duck into the subway when the white stuff starts falling. 🙂

Next to Redwoods and Birch trees, Aspens are my favorite. But when looking at your lovely Aspen tree photo, this is a distinction without a difference.
