Drop and Hop for New Followers, If You Dare…

Boston graveyard

Want new followers? The party starts right now. It will be fast and fun. Speed is good especially when zombies may lurk and your name is whispered by the wind. OooOOoooOOOoooo…..

DROP a link to your blog in the comments, including a pitch, describing what you write about.

haunted drop and hop

HOP to other blogs and check them out. Like what you see? Subscribe. Want them to know you came from the Drop and Hop Party? Tell them, “Susie sent me,” and they should click back to your haunt.

Blast this link on Twitter and Facebook or whatever flavor social media you prefer. The more that participate, the more followers you will gain.

The witch’s brew is bubbling and the finger sandwiches are fresh. The barista can make anything you like. The bar is always open.

The party will last as long as the ever living dead, so stop by anytime.

Please consider following my blog too, or else…. *insert cackle here*

  1. “What Rhymes with Stanza? ~ Words at Rest, Words at Play” is where I share my love of writing, poetry and photography, usually with humor but making occasional forays into seriousness. You might say it’s an eclectic compilation of wordery and photogery. (Or you might not say that, since wordery and photogery aren’t real words.)

Thanks, Susie, for hosting the Hop & Drop. Gotta run now, but I’ll be back to hop ’til I drop.

  2. Thanks, Susie! I’m a retired old guy who lives in the Sierra mountains in California. I write about whatever strikes me, from the absurdity of politics to ethical and moral dilemmas that strike me. The perspective is from someone who has had their share of bumps and bruises along life’s way, and has come out the other side, a bit humbled, and a bit more confident. The best to you and your readers.

    1. Barneysday is a great place to go to get a fresh look on what’s happening. He shoots from the hip, but he won’t put your eye out. Promise.
Thanks for stopping by, Barney! The party is starting to roll. Have fun hopping and mingling with the guests! Maybe a few will follow you home…

  3. Hi Susie. You are kind to invite us to this page. Here is the welcome widget from my blog. Enter within, all ye who dare. https://thecvillean.wordpress.com/

“Thanks for checking my blog. If you came here expecting anything of intellectual value, you have made a serious miscalculation. However, if you are into a potpourri of subjects, injected with a large dose of humor, you have come to the right place. Enjoy this smorgasbord of thoughts from the unpredictable mind of Big Al.”

    1. Ha! I’ll vote for you!
I love your blog and your lighthanded and hearted way of dealing with heavy subjects. They are illuminating and giggle worthy too! Who knew about Joe the Plumber. Wow!

    1. Congrats on your one year milestone and 100 followers!
I love your blog and how you share your world. I would love to visit Ghandi’s home. I believe there are places that make us so uncomfortable, we have to leave while others envelop us with peace and harmony.
Thanks for coming to the party! Guests will continue to arrive all weekend, so drop by anytime to hop to their blogs! Tell them, “Susie sent me,” and they should stop by your place!

    1. I totally believe in ghosts for the same reason! What a great story. I’m sure everyone will love reading your true accounts. Thanks for stopping by to drop and hop! There are lot of new bloggers to meet!

  6. Hi Susie! Thanks so much for offering to post out blog links. I’m still getting that hang of it! Yours is great inspiration. I’ve just added some really great blogs I might not have otherwise found! My blog is about my suburban homesteading adventures, learning all the ways to make things or grow things myself for the time my family makes the big move onto a rural homestead of our own. My blog: http://www.jennyfromthegarden.com/ Thanks again!

    1. What a great blog chronicling an adventure of a totally different kind! I’m glad you’ve been hopping! I was out a lot yesterday and will try to stir up some new guests!

  7. Excited to party with all of you! I just poured a big cup of Peet’s jasmine green tea and I’m looking forward to some new discoveries!

I blog at http://www.audreykalman.com about writing, art, culture, technology, and the meaning of life–not necessarily in that order. Some of my recent posts have been quite philosophical and perhaps a little dark, but I’m getting back to more lighthearted offerings (such as http://audreykalman.com/2015/09/08/ashley-madison-robert-heinlein-and-me/). And I’ve got a post about social media in the works.

  8. Susie, loved the red dripping lettering as an example. It just adds to the creepy Halloween effect. Okay, now for the drop, https://inmyclutteredattic.wordpress.com/2015/10/03/itz-oktoberfest-wiz-zah-k/ and the pitch, “The happiest most impossible to find blog on the entire internet” Kind of like; if WordPress had a wild ride, but wild and wacky with a touch of farcical zaniness—alright more than a touch. Time to hop. 😀

    1. I LOVED this post! It really showcases your writing talent. It is a departure from your hilarious posts about the cast of characters and life in the House on the Hill. I’m sure everyone will love your blog, Austin!!!

  10. How generous of you to invite us, lovely lady!

I blog at http://www.alphawhiskeyfoxtrot.com, where I’m in it for the beauty — always…

I’m more than a decade recovered from an eating disorder, and I’ve learned that seeing magic in my body, my soul and the world around me is an intentional choice.

I snap photographs of myself … & find it to be one of the most powerful (& terrifying) things I’ve ever done. I scuff through the woods in a quest for everyday wonder… snap dreamy black-&-whites of water and leaves, skin and sky, the sun caught in the fringe of my own eyelashes. Sometimes I scribble poetry and prose and snatches of language too small to have a name … & then I share them with you.

If you’re a seeker of everyday magic, I’d love to have you. ❤

      1. It HAS been fun, and I’ve put a few new blogs on my query to binge read. 😉 What a fun thing you’ve got going on here … So much great energy. Here’s to you!! 🙂

    1. This is a very fun blog and escape. Love the name and the theme. Everyone could use a little armchair travel!
Thanks for stopping by to drop and hop! Have fun clicking on links and meeting the guests!

  11. Thank you, Susie. Once again I’m a day late and a pumpkin spice donut short. I will be back later to read as many of the great blogs listed as I can. My blog is at http://www.mainelyhopeful.com and I started out blogging about breast cancer…and moved on to some pretty intense life changes that put the cancer in perspective. Now I mostly blog about everyday things that annoy the shit out of me.

    1. Linda is one of my very first blogging friends! She is an exceptional writer and had authored several funny books. Now she is covering all kinds of interesting stories from her home town. I’m sure they soon become a book too!
Thanks for stopping by! Have fun mingling with the guests! There are a lot of new faces in the crowd, Linda!

  12. If you aren’t put to sleep or into a coma by U.S. and Geo-political events, check out my blog at https://jkbrent.wordpress.com/

There, I write about foreign affairs, political & military as well as the U.S. political landscape without the filters of ‘cable news’ or ‘Beltway’ narratives. And, from the view of someone who spent 25 years in the Defense/Intel environment as both Active Duty Navy and as a contractor, and a lot of time among the ‘special people’ running our government who all think they know more than you do.

I sometimes reblog related posts, especially from my ‘resident spy’ in Turkey who keeps his followers up to date on Russian naval movements through the Turkish Straits. We knew Putin was going in to Syria, before the White House did. 😉

I also occasionally reblog totally unrelated posts when they are exceptionally good or interesting, on a kaleidoscope of subjects. If they’re good, they must be shared.

Many thanks to Susie for allowing us this crass plug for our sites. 😉 And, of course don’t forget to sign up Susie’s Wild Ride!
