I’m writing my 501st post in my car. Don’t worry, I’m not driving. Danny has both hands on the wheel, but he’s going 85 MPH in the right lane. I know! I’ve always called him an old man with a hat, but he’s cruising today. The speed limit is 80. I love it!
We’re in a race.
Our son and his posse are ahead of us in an epic road trip. They got an early start. They’ve been pulling a Uhaul for 600 miles and we’ve cut the distance between us from 120 down to 25. I think we’re going to catch him tonight.
If we do, can you guess where?
I’ll keep you updated. Our road trip has already become a Wild Ride…

it looks like Utah or Arizona, but other than that I can’t guess. Enjoy the scenery and the time traveling together. I look forward to your next installment. We just did the U-Haul, cross-country thing. We weren’t in a race, but we did caravan. Which meant, I often had to drive REALLY slow waiting for the truck to catch up. Especially through the mountains and across the desert in July. That made for some really slow going.
Have fun. Not knowing your route and not completely certain of your final destination, I say you catch up somewhere in Nevada.
