I’ve been sharing my adventures and misadventures here on the Wild Ride for eight years. On my new adventure, The Wild Side with Susie Lindau podcast, I interview guests about their Wild Side and ask their definition of Wild.
I am so excited for you to meet my next guest on the podcast. Jim Cram not only lived to be 102, his wonderful insights about his life and longevity will enlighten and inspire you.
Jim defied many of the elderly stereotypes. I first met him walking with his daughter, Jo Ann Joselyn, at a CU Football game. I couldn’t believe he was ninety-eight years old! His energy was infectious. At the time, I asked him if I could interview him for my blog. When I came up with the idea for a podcast, he was on the top of my list. I feel blessed that I got the chance to sit down and talk with him. I want to send out a special thank you to Jo Ann, who coordinated this amazing interview.
I was blown away by his charm and gift of storytelling. Where many of us wander when regaling others, speaking for myself here, Jim stayed on topic without notes or hesitation. He was one hundred and one at the time of the interview. He shares several Wild events which shaped his life.
A lot of what we are being told about living a long life didn’t apply in Jim’s case. I love that. Anyone who has been following me for a while knows I’ve been through a lot. After interviewing Jim, there’s no reason why I can’t live to be 102. You could live to be that age too.
Jim passed away in December at one hundred and two years old. He had a fantastic quality of life!
Tune in next week, Thursday, April 18, when the interview goes live!

I can’t wait to hear the podcast. My mom had a dear friend who took up yoga in her seventies, drank a martini every evening, and lived well into her nineties. She was so inspiring! My maternal grandmother lived to be 97 and I hope to hit the century mark myself.

That was wonderful Susie was a dear couple they are, and 102, my wife’s great aunt was 106 when she passed over. When she was born the State of Montana was just a territory. Here I always said I would be very happy to just make the half a century mark, well with no bloggers / writers filling me with arrows as of yet. I just may make my 60th in four more weeks. but your blog has really inspired me that I can crawl along until 102 or 106 and be a official centennial… Thanks for creating such an inspiring piece and giving so many elderly love and inspiration Susie.
