This is my ninth Christmas card reveal, here on the Wild Ride, and I’m just as nervous as the first time. The cards turned out pretty funny this year. At least they cracked me up while I drew them, although I’m easily amused. Since I finished them in record time and made a ton of them, there are seven winners!
My first idea to include sliding masks didn’t work. It was a nightmare. I didn’t want to do any cutting and pasting anyway. And so, I started over, vowing not to screw around with it. I wanted to finish my Christmas card early for once.
My idea evolved from being a family of partying elves to an angry mob. LOL!
This year’s Christmas card. Can I get a drum roll, please?
— The Grinch Who Stole 2020 —
And this is the inside of the card. It was inspired by the notion that 2021 has got to be better than 2020. Here are the innard skinnards.
And a closer look –
It was fun to draw. I illustrated the inside of the card in color a few times, but it was too busy. Instead, the bright light of 2021 washes the darkness away.
So, who are the winners? No one guessed these activities, so I’m sending a card to everyone who mentioned wearing a mask in my last post. Yay!
Sarah Cooper
Philosopher Mouse of the Hedge
Victoria Knight-Allen
Anonymous guessed masks too. Let me know who you are, and I’ll send you one.
Winners should email me at susielindau@gmail.com with your address. If my Christmas card makes it to your home before the 25th, it will be a Christmas miracle.
Thanks to all of you who guessed. It means a lot to me. You mean a lot to me.
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year!
How are you holding up? Are you done, or will you go into hyper-drive over the next week?
Awesome card. So creative, Susie!

Ha! Love it 🙂 Maybe the Grinch is the one hoarding all the paper products to keep that dumpster fire going – hehe. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to You and Your Family!!!

Done and dusted here, but that’s because I do all my Christmas shopping when the summer sales are on. I much rather relax in December because it’s my favourite month of the year.
A lovely card, Susie. I think it very apt for the year we’ve all had.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to Danny, you and the family.

You are so organized, Hugh! I’m done a week early, which is something since Courtney’s birthday is three days after. Whew!
Thank you so much. I had to do something humorous — a real stretch for me. LOL!
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope Santa is good to you this year. 🙂

That Grinch idea just hilarious – one time dog attacks are encouraged and supported (Perfect “jaws” attitude and expression!) You choice to give 2021 the power in glow is also wonderful
And WOW! A Christmas miracle – no masking that I’m thrilled to get one of your original art pieces – and these are art.
(Will email shortly)
Thanks so much for sharing al your holidays’ fun – wandering back through the beautiful picture is fun ( and what I like to do if and when there is down time) so thanks for all your decorating experiences.
Actually we are trying to keep Christmas as normal as possible even without the gathering and snow like last year. Between You Tube holiday videos and FaceTime it will be sort of normal-ish enough for this year.
Jingle on, Susie
And thanks again

Roxy was front and center this year and had no problem chomping down on the Grinch. I have forgotten to include her a few times and had to sketch her at the last minute. LOL! Funny since she’s the easiest to draw.
Your holiday festivities sound like fun! Do you have any holiday videos to share?
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Phil!
Enjoy!!
